What the NDIS Commission expects to see
Registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission means audits against the NDIS Practice Standards, and the expectation has shifted from "do you have a policy?" to "can you prove it was current, acknowledged and followed?" Audits increasingly turn on records that are dated, attributable and defensible.
On 1 July 2026 the Commission began mandatory registration for supported independent living and platform providers, with further support categories announced to follow. Reform timing and scope are subject to ongoing legislation; confirm specifics for your service with the Commission.
